NRCT celebrated the 200th Jayanti (birth anniversary) of Aadikabi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, the first authentic poet of Nepali literature, who rose to fame writing Ramayana of Sanskrit in Nepali language. In this occasion, the local peoples and the school children were cleanup the bank of Bishnumati River at Shobhabhagawati Temple.

 
As a part of Bagmati River Festival 2013 a regular cleanup of Bagmati River was held at Tilganga in this morning. Every Saturday the cleanup was held at the bank of the river. More than 400 participants and 50 regular volunteers were involved on the program.
 
As part of the ongoing Bagmati River Festival, a cleanup was organized. Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Avaiation Mr. Ram Kumar Shrestha inaugurated a mega cleanup campaign today at Tilgunga. As a part of ongoing Bagmati River Festival (BRF), Mass Cleanup was conducted on Saturday.
 
Bagmati River Festival (BRF)- the festival of a 21st century kicked off on Friday with the slogan "Green Kathmandu::Clean Bagmati under the initiation of Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT). The 70 days long festival got off to a good start by releasing clean water brought from the various 11 major rivers of the country.
